DETEK was developed by two young scientists at a major University in Northern California several years ago.

No, there is nothing toxic used in the making of DETEK. We would certainly however advise DETEK to be kept away from both babies and children because it may cause an upset stomach.
Should you use DETEK on your skin?
No, DETEK should never be applied to any part of the human body.
How long will DETEK last and still be effective?
DETEK can last for up to seventy-two (72) hours based on maximum conditions.

No. moisture of any kind or amount, will affect the DETEK patch and cause it to become ineffective immediately.

Twelve (12) months.
How large of an area will DETEK cover?
DETEK is designed to be effective in areas for up to thirty (30) yards in diameter. However, the direction of the movement of the air can also affect its effectiveness.
For instance, if you place the DETEK patch on a wall in your garage and had your garage door open, and the people across the street were out in their back yard having a barbecue and are smoking “pot”….. the wind blowing the smoke into your garage would register a positive red on your DETEK patch.
Remember :
The DETEK patch turns red because of the smoke which carries the tetrahydrocannabinol (THC),
Where is the best place to use DETEK?
DETEK can be used in many places as long as its adhesive velcro backing can be affixed to a surface but remember ….. smoke rises so it is recommended that DETEK patches are placed at least at eye level for maximum effect. However, DETEK can also work below eye level. DETEK can be used on the baseboard, around the floor, below the table, etc.
